Anton 'Tony' Derbort, US Army (Ret.)
Anton “Tony” Derbort, age 96, of Clarksville, TN passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2023.
Celebration of Life was held 1 p.m. Saturday, August 19, 2023, at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home. Burial and Military Honors will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. The family received friends on Saturday from 12 p.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Tony entered this life on May 27, 1927, in Ottawa, IL to the late Anton Derbort and Jennifer Hawes Derbort. He was retired from The United States Army after 26 years of honorable service and worked as an auto tech for Jenkins & Wynne for 20 years. Tony was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the National Rifle Association.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou Schibley Derbort, daughters, Diane Shaw and Christine Denton, and siblings, Robert Derbort, Carl Nink, Shirley Synder, and Helen Moore. Survivors include his son, David Anthony Derbort (Debbie); grandchildren, Jason Derbort, Joshua Derbort, Brenda Denton, Melissa Denton, Carrie Shaw, and great grandson, William Derbort.
