The American Legion "CSM Gary M. Crisp" Post 289 has partnered with the city of Clarksville in the Adopt A Street program. Doing so means that Post 289 has volunteered to assist in the effort to keep Clarksville litter free. Our Post is responsible for picking up all trash or debris along Oakland Rd between Meriweather Rd and Tylertown Rd, as seen in the image below. Our Post members meet once a month in the parking lot of Oakwood Elementary (The parking lot is in the red circle as seen in the image) at 09:00 am, and we proceed from there. All you have to do is show up and lend a hand. High-Visibility vests and trash bags are available, and the time to take care of this responsibility is less than 90 minutes of our month. We look forward to your participation in helping Post 289 do our part to keep Clarksville beautiful and litter free.
